Bring a gently loved book that you're ready to pass along, and spend the afternoon crafting a signature loose-leaf tea inspired by its story, characters, setting, or mood. You'll create a blend that captures its essence using a wide selection of premium herbs, roots, botanicals, and tea leaves. 

Once everyone has finished blending, you'll create a keepsake bookmark to tuck inside the book with your custom tea blend recipe. 

At the end of the workshop, all of the books and tea blends are placed together for a community swap. Browse the collection, discover a story that speaks to you, and head home with a new-to-you book and a handcrafted tea blend created to accompany it.

A playful, Halloween-inspired tea blending workshop where we’ll explore the magical folklore of herbs, then craft your own spellbinding blends.

Step into the world of herbal folklore as we discover the “magical” properties that have been attributed to herbs and botanicals throughout history. From herbs associated with love and luck to those traditionally used for protection, calm, clarity, and dreaming, you’ll get to know these enchanting ingredients before putting them to use.

Then it’s your turn to play alchemist. You’ll select from an assortment of teas, herbs, roots, and botanicals to create your own custom blends, each inspired by a different spell or desired effect. Whether you’re brewing up something for a little extra luck, a peaceful night’s sleep, a boost of energy, or simply a bit of Halloween magic, you’ll get to experiment with flavors, aromas, and ingredients to create a blend that’s uniquely yours.

As you blend, enjoy a fresh-baked scone served with homemade clotted cream—the perfect accompaniment to an afternoon of herbal lore, creativity, and a little witchy fun.
