We’ll taste 5 unique loose leaf teas, learn to brew gong fu style, and discuss all sorts of interesting tea topics. Ticket price includes the tea tasting as well as a delicious fresh baked scone from Allie’s Pub with their homemade clotted cream & jam.

Your experience begins at an interactive tea blending bar, where you’ll craft a personalized cup of tea from 30+ ingredients with assistance from Brittany of Lagom Infusions. Sip on your custom blend as our watercolor host, Jacqueline of Blueprint Creative, guides you through two painting exercises.
Throughout the event, you’re welcome to return to the tea bar to explore new blends and draw inspiration from the tea leaves themselves.
About Level 1 (Beginner) Painting Exercises
One of the biggest barriers in watercolor painting is learning how to work confidently with water. In this Level 1 session, Jacqueline will explain how to truly harness your materials, helping you feel comfortable blending pigments and water while learning essential brush techniques to achieve different effects.
After the guided warm-up, you’ll apply what you’ve learned to create your own watercolor painting. Jacqueline will provide a folded greeting card featuring a hand-drawn teacup in pencil. Using non-water-soluble ink pens and fine art watercolor pigments, you’ll be free to paint to your heart’s content.

You’ll then build, sip and experiment with making your own teas to explore what flavors and combinations are right for you!

An elegant, hands-on Mother’s Day experience featuring artisan chocolate, guided tea blending, and a custom take-home tea created by you.
Join us at On Broadway Chico for a playful and flavor-filled afternoon of tea and chocolate pairing. You’ll be welcomed into the world of tea blending with simple, inspiring guidance to help you start creating right away — mixing, experimenting, and discovering combinations you love. Local chocolatier, Chocolates by Megan, will introduce four handcrafted chocolates and share what makes them so special, along with the tasting notes for each.
Then, you’ll create four custom tea blends — one to pair with each chocolate — and taste them together to discover your favorite combinations. Expect surprising flavor moments, lots of “you have to try this,” and experimenting along the way.

The Level 2 (Intermediate) workshop is designed for those who want to build on the foundational skills. In this session, we’ll move beyond basic water control and explore layering, intentional color mixing, and brushwork that adds depth, movement, and personality to your painting.
You’ll learn how to work more deliberately with wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques and refine edges. With guidance, you’ll apply these techniques to create a more detailed watercolor painting, with a subject matter of your choice Using non-water-soluble ink pens and fine art watercolor pigments, you’ll be encouraged to experiment and develop your own style.
